WHY WATER MISCIBLE & NON-WATER MISCIBLE?

The solvent structure of these two washes is the same, however, in the case of Water Miscible washes, there is the addition of an emulsifier which allows for the smooth mixing of water and spirit solvents to create a wash that not only removes all traces of ink but also removes paper lint and water based materials in one easy operation.
When using non-water miscible washes, the removal of paper lints and other water based materials is effectively made by washing over the blanket with clean water. The choice of operation is usually by personal preference.

Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) include any organic solvent that evaporates, e.g. hydrocarbon solvents used in everyday blanket and roller washes.
