Ultrachem acquires Bousfield's solvent chemical manufacturing
business and Openshaw's Spectrum product range
11th January, 2005 - Ultrachem Limited, the UK
based pressroom chemical manufacturer and pre-press and consumables
company, today announced its acquisition of the solvent chemical
manufacturing business of Bousfield Ltd, and the Openshaw's
Spectrum range of products. The purchase also includes the
transfer of brand names for both companies' formulations and
manufacturing equipment.
Tony Brinton, Ultrachem's MD, comments, "We believe that
our new acquisitions now positions us as the UK's leading
manufacturer and supplier of sheet-fed pressroom chemicals,
and also provides the opportunity to substantially expand
our client and product portfolio business worldwide."

for Bousfield's chemical business and Openshaw's Spectrum
products, while increasing product choice for existing Ultrachem
customers."
"From this time, the solvent chemical manufacturing business
of Bousfield Ltd., as well as Openshaw's Spectrum product
range, will be transferred to Ultrachem's two manufacturing
sites in Leeds. With the ability to produce large batches
of any chemical used within the printing industry ranging
from FOGRA approved blanket washes, to MAN-approved founts.
Each fully automated Ultrachem site will provide new and existing
customers with high quality products and unprecedented levels
of customer service."

foot facility in Canning Town, London, we have the perfect
