KJS Print to Mail opts to buy consumables from Ultrachem
KJS Print to Mail Services has signed a 12 month
agreement with Ultrachem, appointing it as its main supplier
of inks, chemistry and plates. An X-Rite 508 densitometer has
also been supplied as part of the deal.
Stuart Speechley, managing director, says: "Price was an
important part of our choice but we also required a good range
and Ultrachem has products we are comfortable to use across
the board. We try to plan and to draw off supplies on a monthly
basis but in the real world things change so we needed to work
with a company that was responsive. We have not yet trialled
Ultrachem's advisory services on environmental
or technical issues but most
leading suppliers are good in this respect these days."
The Prima Plus ink range are being used for both process and
specials. As an international mailing house the company requires
laser inks as well as standard litho products. Like other printers
the pressure to produce top quality off its four-colour SRA2
Lithrones is high and it is for this reason it is taking the
X-Rite 508 densitometer, a product which provides good reliable
colour measurement without being a gadget with features beyond
real life requirements.
We need to service our customers well, frequently involving
fast turnround and efficient and highly competitive distribution
to Europe and the rest of the world, says Mr Speechley. Although
we are based in Peterborough we take work from throughout the
UK and are especially strong in London and Cambridge. |
