Adrian Press enhances Eco awareness with Ultrachem
Adrian Press has enlisted the services of Ultrachem
to provide its waste removal
service. This will ensure that the Ilford design and commercial
printer complies with all environmental legislation concerning
hazardous and special wastes.
The formation of this partnership with Ultrachem is the next
step in Adrian Press's plan to keep ahead of developments in
environmental legislation. This has been preceded by consultations
with Ultrachem regarding efficient chemical and ink storage
procedures and overall environmental awareness, such as the
implementation of a label system for hazardous chemicals.
The waste removal service will see that 205 litre containers
are used for the removal of prepress chemical waste such as
developers and fixers. Ultrachem will also provide specialised
containers for the removal of ink tins, and ensure that the
correct documentation is in place.
Adrian Filek, managing director of Adrian Press, says: "Ultrachem
has been extremely helpful and knowledgeable in helping us to
implement the correct storage and disposal procedures, which
sometimes go beyond those necessary for compliance with regulations.
I like to ensure that we are doing the most we can to uphold
our Eco friendly responsibilities."
Adrian Press has recently extended its contract with Ultrachem
to a three-year consumables deal, supplying plates, inks, chemicals
and film. The consumables contract will fund the supply and
installation by Ultrachem of a printing down frame and plate
processor.
Mr Filek says: "We have been using Ultrachem for prepress &
pressroom consumables for years but recently decided to switch
all our business to them because of their service and enthusiasm.
They are always helpful and there when you need them. Their
promises are honest and always backed up by the appropriate
service."
With Ultrachem being the supplier of both consumables and the
waste disposal service, the single point of contact allows for
advantages in service and efficiency in both time and money.
